  i don't understand the logic of boycotting the dixie chicks because of the comments the singer made about being ashamed that bush is from texas.

  it doesn't make sense to me.

  keep in mind that i'm just a canadian, so maybe i'm just not tuned in to the american way of thinking.

  Whats the best internet music file sharing thingy....?

  have been using morpheus for a couple of years now, and hasn't been too bad at all, got about 400 tracks download.

  since gettiing aol broadband, the diversity seems to have diminished a bit, either i'm on the wrong dsl provider or morpheus isn't as good as it used to be.

  the one i was on previous (can't remember the name now) went totally pearshaped after it got served a writ for using copyrighted material.....anyway, know of any other good music file sharing sites?

  when you were a jw, did you witness a rather large enthusiasm from your congregation for passing fads?

  what i mean is, one dub would start something and everyone would join in?

  this was especially prevelant with the women of the congregations.. for instance, for a while every female dub was undertaking this strange diet where they basically drink this really odd and particularly disturbing looking mushroom that they kept in their fridge.

  after perusing the various "freedom of speech" threads, i noted that anti-semitism is prohibited here, as (i imagine, by logical extension) would be anti-black, anti-latino, etc.

  No, people can disagree and don't like bush, and can say "Well Nomad, I disagree of what Bush because of this and that...etc...." That is a patriot. An Unamericans are the ones that call Bush , hitler, or Nazi.

  do you know who you can really trust on this site, or is everyone a potential watchtower spy?

  The Knock at the Door After the Prayer

  this experience is commoly related by jehovah's witnesses:.

  a man or woman is desperately searching for "the truth" or someone is about to give up on life but before they do they utter a prayer to god and lo and behold a knock is heard on the door and behind the door are jehovah's witnesses.. these experiences are used by jw's to confirm angelic direction on their work and seems to reinforce in them that they have the "truth".. how does one argue against such personal experience?.

  i am no longer a jw and no longer support their organizational teachings by the way, but i'd like to throw out the above question to you all for comment and consideration.. .

  here's some groups, that i was always being had a go at for listening to, or told that they shouldnt be listened to...

  guns n roses - for sexist and viloent lyrics.

  Man, one of the reasons I stopped going to the meetings because the publications and brothers generalized about all people. I hate that.

  I don't know, but that comment seemed somwhat the same, because of my age? perhaps?

  Hello, I'm new around here, I'm baptized, but I decided not to go to the meetings anymore, since this February. I stumbled to this website, looks interesting.

  Well I don't know any of those music groups mentioned here, I'm 19, hehehe, so the song that I think they would be pissed off would be, one of my favorites.
